Miniature Printed Carpet - Suzani

Suzani is the embroidered cloth of Central Asia, sewn for weddings and hung in the best room of the house. Twelve red sun-rosettes rise from an indigo ground, joined by a lattice of fine vines, inside a red border of blossom and fruit.

Printed on polyester chenille, a soft, velvety surface with a faint sheen that takes colour the way good paper takes ink. High-resolution digital printing carries every hairline of the design onto the rug, from the smallest leaf to the vine in the border.
