    A miniature is chosen and its composition redrawn point by point for the loom: the field, the border, the figures that cross it.

  2. The colour

    Yarns are chosen to match the painter's palette, not the other way round.

  3. The weave

    Woven on a modern loom at a density fine enough for a face, a leaf, a line of verse, so every line of the painting holds its place.
