Miniature Printed Carpet - Kervan

A caravan crosses a terracotta field: camels in tasselled trappings, saddled horses, laden mules and running salukis, passing between caravanserai gates and date palms. At the centre, in a lapis medallion under a crescent and star, stands the waymarker itself, the ferseng stone that told every caravan how far it had come and how far was left.

Printed on polyester chenille, a soft, velvety surface with a faint sheen that takes colour the way good paper takes ink. High-resolution digital printing carries every hairline of the design onto the rug, from the smallest leaf to the vine in the border.
