Miniature Printed Carpet - Arma

Arma is a coat of arms. A lion and a gazelle stand guard on either side of a red shield bearing a gold star and a lapis heart; above, a crested bird spreads its wings over a lapis orb, and below runs an empty banner, waiting for a motto. Scrolling vines fill the green field around them.

Printed on polyester chenille, a soft, velvety surface with a faint sheen that takes colour the way good paper takes ink. High-resolution digital printing carries every hairline of the design onto the rug, from the smallest leaf to the vine in the border.
